Ruth de Boer-(van Gelderen) was born from Dutch parents in Djember, Indonesia on 12/12/1949

After completion of her education she studied for two years and completed the Famous Artists School in Amsterdam.

During her active working career she started an art guild in the village of Leersum in the Netherlands with various artists.

Later on she was a member of the organisational committee organising art expositions and publicity.

She herself is active in various art forms ranging from water colour painting to statue making as well as using mixed techniques.
